2. What we collect

  • Name details: the candidate names, and the person's own name if you give it.
  • Birth details: date, and optionally time, city and a lunar-calendar flag, for the person and any family members you add.
  • Your wishes: what you want the name to do, and questions you ask about a report.
  • Email: used to send your private link.
  • Payment records: from PayPal (English, USD) or Groble (Korean, KRW), the pack, amount, status and transaction ID. We never receive your card number.
  • Technical logs: IP address, browser and device information, and error logs, kept by our hosting provider.
  • Optional analytics IDs: pseudonymous identifiers and campaign tags, only if you consent. See Cookies.

3. Why we use it and our legal basis

  • Deliver your reading and tickets (contract, GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)): calculating charts, running checks, writing narration, sending your link, handling questions.
  • Take payment and keep records (contract and legal obligation, Art. 6(1)(b) and (c)).
  • Run, secure and fix the service, prevent fraud and abuse (legitimate interests, Art. 6(1)(f)).
  • Usage analytics and advertising measurement (consent, Art. 6(1)(a)). Off until you agree, and you can withdraw at any time.
  • Answer your requests (legal obligation or legitimate interests).

4. How long we keep it

  • Raw birth details: deleted 90 days after the reading is issued. The chart result (pillars and signs) stays in your reading, the date and time don't.
  • Readings and orders: kept until you ask us to delete them.
  • Payment records: as long as tax and commerce law requires.
  • Analytics: for the period set by each provider, unless you withdraw and ask for deletion.

5. Who receives it

We share data only with service providers that run parts of the service, under contract:

  • Cloudflare: hosting, network and our database.
  • PayPal: USD payments on the English site. PayPal is also a controller of its own payment data under its own policy.
  • Groble: KRW payments on the Korean site.
  • Resend: sending the email with your private link.
  • OpenAI: narration, only when enabled. We send the engine's result for your names: names, grades, findings, your stated wishes, who the name is for and how it will be used, and, for follow-up questions, your question and recent answers on that report. We don't send your email, your payment details or your raw birth date and time.
  • Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, Meta: only with your consent, see Cookies.

We don't sell personal data. We may disclose data where the law or a valid legal request requires it.

6. International transfers

Our providers operate in the United States and other countries, so your data can leave your own country, including the EEA, UK and Korea. Where required, we rely on safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision. Ask us at the address below for a copy of the safeguards in place.

7. Your rights

Everyone: you can ask to access, correct or delete your data. We answer within 30 days, and within 45 days under CCPA/CPRA.

EEA and UK (GDPR): access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection to processing based on legitimate interests, withdrawal of consent at any time (without affecting earlier use), and a complaint to your supervisory authority.

California (CCPA/CPRA): the right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of sale or sharing, and not to be treated worse for using them. We don't sell personal information. We "share" data for cross-context advertising only when you accept advertising cookies, and you can opt out at any time through Cookie settings on any public page.

South Korea (PIPA): the Korean version of this page lists your PIPA rights and how to use them.

To use a right, email hello@judgemyname.com with your reading number. We may need to confirm it's you.

8. Children

The service is not directed to children under 16 (under 14 in Korea), and we don't knowingly collect their data. Parents or guardians enter a baby's or child's details. If you think a child gave us data directly, tell us and we'll delete it.

9. Security

We use encrypted connections, access limits on our systems and private, hard-to-guess report links. Payments run through PayPal or Groble, depending on the site language, and we don't store card data. No system is fully secure. If a breach affects you, we'll notify you and the authorities as the law requires.

10. Cookies

Essential: keep your tickets and private readings available and remember your cookie choice (180 days). These work without consent.

Usage analytics (Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity): public-page visits, funnel steps and masked recordings. Optional.

Advertising measurement (Meta Pixel and Conversions API): connects visits with verified ticket purchases. Optional.

These services get pseudonymous identifiers, browser and network information and cleaned public URLs. Purchases add the pack, the amount in the charged currency (USD or KRW) and a transaction ID that gives no access to a reading. Names, birth details, email, family information, report contents, questions and private links are excluded. Forms are masked. No tracker loads on private reading, wallet, history, question, ticket or admin pages, or inside the app.

Choose Cookie settings on any public page to change or withdraw your choice. Withdrawal stops new collection and cancels pending server events. It doesn't erase data a provider already holds, so email us to ask for deletion.
